We had a blast at Art School Throwdown pt. 1!  There was Jeopardy, chair building and canvas stretching.  Not to mention some cool art and good food.  Part 2 is this coming Saturday at the OAL Gallery in the South Campus Gateway.  On display will be the works that jurors Denny Griffith and Karen Bell selected as well as the results of the chair building and canvas stretching competitions.  6-11 this coming saturday-don’t miss your chance to vote for the people’s choice award and see who gets selected for a cash prize!  Hope the sunshine is treating you all well.

Oh yeah, have you registered for Agora 7 yet?

Hoping to find out more stuff about Agora 7?  Too bad-you’ll just have to keep checking back….

Hello eveyone!

Thanks to all you folks that participated, contributed, and golfed at A-Holes this past weekend!  We handed out two awards.  The People’s  Choice goes to Junctionview Studios for their Bob Barker/Plinko madness and the Best Concept award goes to the Mother Artists at Work for their grocery-toting chaos.  All the groups did a wonderful job(and made some money) and we were very impressed with the amount of time and effort everyone put in to make this happen.  Since we had so much fun we’re hoping to do it again in the future.

Now, we have a few things to announce.  First, we want you all to know that registration is now open for the Art School Throwdown.   See our events page for more details and to sign up!

Second,  Sam Corlett’s band, Maza Blaska, has a show tonight at Rumba Cafe!  Music starts @ 10pm.  They will be playing with Manor Animals and Sharif.  If that’s not enough Sam for you, then why don’t also come to the Karate Coyote CD release party?!  That’s tomorrow night @ Skully’s.  This is My Suitcase and Stretch Lefty will play before them and then DJ Self Help will be spinning afterwords.   The fun starts @ 9pm!

Finally,  The Little Professors are also playing tonight.  They’ll be playing with Wing and Tusk and Russell Boiarsky at the Thirsty Ear in Grandview.  Music starts @ 10.
