Hello everyone! We here at Couchfire have quite a bit going on the next few days.
Tomorrow night, you can catch Sam Corlett in her band Maza Blaska at Carabar in Olde Town East. They will be playing with Blake Miller, The Woozies, and Black Love. As always, it’s a free show at Carabar and the fun will start around 10pm.
Saturday night brings a few options for everyone-the reception for Touchy Feely will be at the OAL space(in the OSU gateway) starts at 6pm and goes to 10.
After you’ve copped a feel, head next door to the Gateway film center to see the premier of Andrew Ina’s short film “Second Chance.” It was filmed entirely in Glasgow, Scotland while Andrew was attending graduate school. Tickets are $7 and the film starts at 8pm.
Couchfire is proud to support “Art Makes Noise.” This event is to be a marriage of art and music featuring the work of several artists, the Super Desserts, and karoke hosted by DJ Dirtyoke. Art Makes Noise runs from 8-12 at Junctionview Studios.
And finally Bryan Kossmann’s band Fort Shame will be playing at Rumba Cafe with The Beatdowns and Aperture. The rockin’ starts around 10! Well, we certainly hope that you’ll find a way to support us and out friends this weekend-whoever said there’s nothing to do in Columbus-pssssh!
